July 2005
First off the new website is up. What do you think? There are new pics a couple new audio clips and soon to come new video clips. The review section is redone and a special section dedicated to our Hong Kong tour at the end of June.

Since the last update, SBG has been busy.

In May we have played the Cherry Bar with Binky , fun all girl metal band. It was fun playing the Cherry Bar this time because it felt like the old CW. A much better experience than our debut show 09/03.

In June we played the TIDAL WAVE 8 metalfest with too many metal bands to mention. Thanks again Tonus for the metal! It takes real passion to do this event year after year and I know every metalhead at the event is thankful for the work Tonus does for the Bay Area Metal scene.

March 2005

SBG got a great review for NoisePop. Tony Hicks of the Contra Costa Times called Say Bok Gwai "the reason Noise Pop exists." CLICK HERE to read full article.

During the month of March Andre moved into San Francisco, so we have mostly been gearing up on a new record. So far there are about 18 new tunes. If you have seen catch us at any of our upcoming shows you will definitely catch a few of them. Some of the new material has been played live already but there should be one or two new tracks creeping into the El Rio set onWeds 4/6/05. SBG plays with WALKEN.

The news from CHINESE GLOBAL ROCK, our label in Hong Kong, is that the 1st CD will be released this summer. It has been held back due to the bad economy and low CD sales over the last 6 months in Hong Kong.

SBG is looking for other venues to play. Parties, retirement homes, schools, charity events. We are very serious. If you know of any venues to play our music at, please send us a note.

Holy sheep shit! It is already May. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Monkey King Records! One year of giving it to "the man". So when is the next SBG CD coming? Due to a short tour in the motherland the CD is being pushed back to later in 2005. SBG is heading to Hong Kong to play the Rock On Festival 6/24-6/27. We will play the festival and then play the party at the Hard Rock on 6/27. The festival is at the Hong Kong Arts Centre.

SBG has some great shows coming up. Friday the 13th SBG play with Metal gods HIRAX for the 23rd Annivesary of RAMPAGE RADIO on 90.3 KUSF. Also on the bill is Abscess, Old Grandad, and Brocas Helm. $10 adv./$12 at door @SFPound

The following week we play the Balazo Gallery with Eskapo(Pinoy hardcore) and Masacre(Spanish hardcore). It will be a very heavy evening of pissed off ethnic hardcore. Down with "the man"

May 2005

A big THANK YOU to Tonus for setting us up at the Pound SF. What a great night of metal!

A big thank you to all the people who worked the show at the Pound. A big NO THANK YOU to Jimmie of the Pound for treating us with no respect and very unprofessionally.

SBG plays TIDAL WAVE a free metal two day festival on June 18th and 19th.
